Hi, welcome to the forum. Selling stock photos and videos can be a great way to make money from your passion for photography or videography. However, it is not as easy as it sounds. You need to have a good understanding of the market, the quality standards, and the best practices to succeed in this field. Here are some tips that might help you get started: Choose your subjects carefully. You want to create images or videos that are in high demand by buyers, such as lifestyle, business, health, travel, etc. You also want to avoid subjects that are oversaturated or have low commercial value, such as flowers, sunsets, pets, etc. Try to find a niche that suits your style and interests, and focus on creating unique and original content that stands out from the crowd. Pay attention to lighting and composition. These are the two most important factors that determine the quality of your photos or videos. You want to use natural or artificial light sources that enhance the mood and colors of your scene, and avoid harsh or flat lighting that creates unwanted shadows or glare. You also want to compose your shots in a way that follows the rule of thirds, creates depth and perspective, and eliminates any distracting or irrelevant elements. Use relevant keywords and descriptions. When you upload your photos or videos to a stock platform, you need to provide accurate and descriptive metadata that helps buyers find your content. You should use keywords that describe the main subject, theme, emotion, location, and style of your image or video, as well as any specific details that might be relevant. You should also write a short and catchy description that summarizes what your image or video is about and why it is useful for buyers. Promote your photos or videos using social media. One of the best ways to increase your exposure and sales is to share your work on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc. You can use hashtags, tags, captions, stories, and other features to attract followers, engage with your audience, and showcase your portfolio. You can also link your social media accounts to your stock platform profile, so that buyers can easily access your full collection. Diversify your portfolio. To maximize your chances of selling your photos or videos, you should upload them to multiple stock platforms that cater to different markets and audiences. Some of the most popular ones are Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, iStock, Getty Images, etc. Each platform has its own advantages and disadvantages in terms of pricing, commission rates, exclusivity options, etc., so you should do some research and compare them before choosing the ones that suit you best. Upload new photos or videos regularly. The stock market is constantly changing and evolving, so you need to keep up with the trends and demands of buyers. You should upload new content at least once a week, if not more often, to maintain your relevance and visibility on the platforms. You should also update your existing content with new keywords and descriptions if needed. Enhance your pictures. Before you upload your photos or videos to a stock platform, you should edit them using photo editing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. You should adjust the exposure, contrast, color balance, sharpness, noise reduction, cropping, etc., to make your images look more professional and appealing. However, you should avoid over-editing or applying filters that alter the natural appearance of your images too much. I hope these tips help you sell your first stock photo or video soon. Good luck! 😉

Condor Galaxy 1 (CG-1) is a 4 exaFLOP, 54 million core, 64-node AI supercomputer that was unveiled in July 2023 by Cerebras Systems and G42, a leading AI and cloud company of the United Arab Emirates. It is the first in a series of nine supercomputers to be built and operated through a strategic partnership between Cerebras and G42. Upon completion in 2024, the nine inter-connected supercomputers will have 36 exaFLOPS of AI compute, making it one of the most powerful cloud AI supercomputers in the world. What is CG-1 and what can it do? CG-1 is a supercomputer designed for training large generative models, such as language models, image models, and video models. Generative models are AI models that can create new data based on existing data, such as generating text, images, or videos. They are useful for applications such as natural language processing, computer vision, speech synthesis, and content creation. CG-1 is powered by Cerebras Wafer-Scale Engines (WSEs), which are the largest and most powerful AI processor chips in the world. Each WSE is made from a single silicon wafer that contains more than 2.6 trillion transistors and 850,000 AI-optimized cores. A single WSE can deliver more than 20 petaFLOPS of AI compute, which is equivalent to more than 10,000 GPUs. CG-1 consists of 64 CS-2 systems, each containing one WSE. The CS-2 systems are connected by Cerebras Wafer-Scale Cluster (WSC) technology, which enables them to operate as a single logical accelerator. The WSC technology decouples memory from compute, allowing CG-1 to deploy 82 terabytes of parameter memory for AI models, compared to the gigabytes possible using GPUs. The WSC technology also provides 388 terabytes per second of internal bandwidth, which is essential for moving data across the supercomputer. CG-1 uses a novel technique called weight streaming to train large models on wafer-scale clusters using just data parallelism. Weight streaming exploits the large-scale compute and memory features of the hardware and distributes work by streaming the model one layer at a time in a purely data parallel fashion. This simplifies the software complexity and eliminates the need for pipeline or model parallel schemes that are required to train large GPU models. CG-1 can train large generative models faster and more efficiently than any other system in the world. For example, CG-1 can train a model with 100 billion parameters in just 10 days, while it would take more than a year on a GPU cluster. CG-1 can also train models with up to one trillion parameters, which are beyond the reach of GPUs. Why is CG-1 important and who is using it? CG-1 is important because it represents a breakthrough in AI hardware and software that enables unprecedented scale and speed for generative model training. CG-1 opens up new possibilities for AI research and innovation that were previously impossible or impractical. CG-1 is used by G42 for its internal projects and initiatives, such as developing new generative models for various domains and languages. G42 also offers access to CG-1 to its customers and partners who want to leverage its capabilities for their own AI applications and solutions. Additionally, CG-1 is part of the Cerebras Cloud, which allows customers to use Cerebras systems without procuring and managing hardware. The Cerebras Cloud provides an easy-to-use interface and API for users to submit their model training jobs to CG-1 or other Cerebras supercomputers. The Cerebras Cloud also provides tools and support for users to optimize their models for Cerebras hardware. How does CG-1 compare to other AI supercomputers? CG-1 is currently the largest and most powerful AI supercomputer in the world for generative model training. It surpasses other AI supercomputers in terms of compute power, memory capacity, bandwidth, and efficiency. The following table compares CG-1 to some of the other notable AI supercomputers in the world: Name Location Provider Compute Power Memory Capacity Bandwidth Efficiency Condor Galaxy 1 (CG-1) Santa Clara, CA Cerebras/G42 4 exaFLOPS 82 TB 388 TBps ~8 GFLOPS/W Andromeda Santa Clara, CA Cerebras 1 exaFLOP 20.5 TB 97 TBps ~8 GFLOPS/W Selene Reno, NV Nvidia 0.63 exaFLOP 1.6 TB 14.7 TBps ~6 GFLOPS/W Perlmutter Berkeley, CA NERSC 0.35 exaFLOP 1.3 TB 9.6 TBps ~3 GFLOPS/W JUWELS Booster Module Jülich, Germany Forschungszentrum Jülich 0.23 exaFLOP 0.7 TB 5.2 TBps ~2 GFLOPS/W As the table shows, CG-1 has more than six times the compute power, more than 50 times the memory capacity, and more than 26 times the bandwidth of the next best AI supercomputer, Selene. CG-1 also has a higher efficiency than other systems, delivering more AI performance per watt. What are the future plans for CG-1 and the Condor Galaxy network? CG-1 is the first of nine supercomputers that Cerebras and G42 plan to build and operate through their strategic partnership. The next two supercomputers, CG-2 and CG-3, will be deployed in Austin, TX and Asheville, NC in early 2024. The remaining six supercomputers will be deployed in various locations around the world by the end of 2024. The nine supercomputers will be interconnected to form the Condor Galaxy network, which will have a total capacity of 36 exaFLOPS of AI compute, making it one of the most powerful cloud AI supercomputers in the world. The Condor Galaxy network will enable users to train models across multiple supercomputers and scale up to trillions of parameters. The Condor Galaxy network will also serve as a platform for Cerebras and G42 to collaborate on developing new generative models and applications for various domains and languages. If you plan to use this as a nickname matcher, I recommend considering the following: /^[\p{L}\p{Mc}\p{Mn}\p{Nd}\p{P}\p{Zs}]+$/u This introduces stricter limitations for numbers, as it only allows decimal numbers and does not permit uncommon numbers like these: 𒐫 (Cuneiform Numeric Sign Nine Shar2) 𒐹 (Cuneiform Numeric Sign Five Buru) These characters are quite large and may have unpleasant effects on the layout and readability of nicknames. Additionally, it allows certain marks that must be permitted for some languages. It also allows punctuation characters, as some users may need them in their names. How it works \p{L}: Matches any Unicode letter. \p{Mc}: Matches a spacing combining mark (a character intended to be combined with another character). Explained below. \p{Mn}: Matches a non-spacing mark (a character intended to be combined with another character without taking up extra space). Explained below. \p{Nd}: Matches a decimal digit. \p{P}: Matches any kind of punctuation character. \p{Zs}: Matches a space separator (most common form being a space character). Why use \p{Mc} and \p{Mn} In many cases, letters with diacritical marks can be represented not just as a single Unicode symbol, but as a combination of a base symbol and a combining mark. These letters are very common in languages such as German, Norwegian, Turkish, and many others. It is not feasible to list all of them, but here is a selection of some common Latin script letters with diacritical marks. Keep in mind that this list is not exhaustive: Acute accent (´): á, é, í, ó, ú, ý, Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú, Ý Grave accent (`): à, è, ì, ò, ù, À, È, Ì, Ò, Ù Circumflex (^): â, ê, î, ô, û, Â, Ê, Î, Ô, Û Tilde (~): ã, ñ, õ, Ã, Ñ, Õ Diaeresis/umlaut (¨): ä, ë, ï, ö, ü, ÿ, Ä, Ë, Ï, Ö, Ü, Ÿ Ring above (˚): å, Å Cedilla (¸): ç, Ç Ogonek (˛): ą, ę, Ą, Ę Macron (¯): ā, ē, ī, ō, ū, Ā, Ē, Ī, Ō, Ū Caron/háček (ˇ): č, ď, ě, ǧ, ǩ, ł, ń, ř, š, ť, ů, ž, Č, Ď, Ě, Ǧ, Ǩ, Ł, Ń, Ř, Š, Ť, Ů, Ž Breve (˘): ă, ĕ, ğ, ĭ, ŏ, ŭ, Ă, Ĕ, Ğ, Ĭ, Ŏ, Ŭ Dot above (˙): ż, Ż Double acute (˝): ő, ű, Ő, Ű Stroke (solidus): đ, ŧ, Đ, Ŧ These diacritical marks are applied to the Latin script used in various languages, such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, Romanian, and many others. Each language uses diacritical marks in unique ways to indicate changes in pronunciation, stress, or grammatical functions. Characters that match \p{Mc} (spacing combining marks) and \p{Mn} (non-spacing marks) are often used in languages that have diacritical marks or other modifiers for base letters. These marks can indicate different phonetic or tonal qualities. And it's not limited to Latin languages, it's widespread all around the world! Here are some examples of words and languages that use such characters: Devanagari (used in Hindi, Sanskrit, and other Indian languages): Word: काम (kām) - In this Hindi word, the ā (आ) vowel is represented by a spacing combining mark called a "matra" (ा) that is added to the base consonant क (ka). Vietnamese: Word: hẹn (hèn) - The 'è' vowel in this word is formed by adding a non-spacing mark called the "grave accent" (̀) to the base letter 'e'. The non-spacing mark 'dot below' (̣) is added to 'n' to form 'ṇ'. Arabic: Word: مُدَرِّس (mudarris) - This word has several non-spacing marks: the "damma" (ُ) above the م (m) and "kasra" (ِ) below the د (d), as well as "shadda" (ّ) above the ر (r), which indicates a doubled consonant. Hebrew: Word: שָׁלוֹם (shalom) - This word has a non-spacing mark called "kamatz" (ָ) under the ש (sh) and another non-spacing mark called "holam" (ֹ) above the ו (v) These are just a few examples of languages that use characters matching \p{Mc} and \p{Mn} to modify their base letters. There are many other languages and scripts that utilize combining marks to represent various phonetic and tonal features.

Hey there! Today, we've got some super exciting news for you. Researchers have been working with stable diffusion, a type of generative AI, to reconstruct images based on human brain activity. How cool is that? This breakthrough not only has massive implications for neuroscience but also opens up a world of possibilities, from peeking into dreams to understanding how animals see the world. Check this out! Here are some super cool images we want to show you. In the red box at the top row, you'll see the original images that were presented to a participant. And guess what? In the gray box at the bottom row, you'll find images that were reconstructed from the participant's fMRI signals. How amazing is that? Science never ceases to amaze us! Stable Diffusion: The Coolest AI in Town Stable diffusion is this amazing open-source generative AI that can create fantastic images based on text prompts. In a recent paper, researchers trained it on thousands of brain scans. They showed human participants loads of images and recorded their brain activity using a nifty device called Memorize Cam. By training the AI on the relationship between brain activity patterns and the images shown, it could then reconstruct images based on the participants' brain activity. Now, it's not always perfect, but the algorithm does a pretty impressive job most of the time. It often gets the position and scale spot on, with the only minor differences being the color of certain elements. The success of this method comes down to a blend of the latest research in neuroscience and super cool latent diffusion models. The Exciting Future of AI and Neuroscience There are so many awesome potential applications for this technology, including: Taking a peek into dreams, thoughts, and memories Gaining insight into how animals perceive the world based on their brain activity Building artificial systems that can understand the world just like we do One of the main challenges to improve the accuracy of the algorithm is training stable diffusion on an even larger dataset of brain scans. But as technology progresses, we're likely to see a major revolution in human-machine interfaces. Say Hello to Brain-Computer Interfaces! Several innovative startups are already working on devices that can read your thoughts and turn them into text messages or even control virtual environments with just the power of your mind. Imagine that! Companies like Next Mind and Microsoft are actively developing non-invasive brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), believing that controlling devices with our thoughts is the next big thing. This shift in how we interact with machines will have a huge impact on the way we communicate, work, and even create art. And the best part? Non-invasive BCIs offer a safer and more practical alternative to invasive BCIs, which need a hole drilled in the skull to read thoughts with greater precision (yikes!). The Future is Here and It's Mind-Blowing! As neuroscience and AI keep making strides, the idea of reading our minds doesn't seem so far-fetched anymore. With non-invasive BCIs just around the corner, we're on the verge of a revolution in human-machine interfaces, transforming the way we connect with our devices and the world around us. So buckle up, because the future is here, and it's going to be a wild ride!
